2002 - 2004

December 16th 2004

Hey everyone, It's been a while since there was news to report. Well, I guess there is always news to report, but in the world of Beefy/DC it sometimes comes slow. Anyway, Beefy/DC is playing another New Years Eve show at the Abbey Lounge this year. We've got a steller bill again this year. First on the bill is "The Pagan She-Totems" which is a new "Cult" tribute band featuring Mrs Sandy Neades (my wife) on bass, our own Bill Close on guitar, Jesse Mayer (The Marvels) on drums, and Andrea Gillis singin'. Second on the bill is "The Clock Strikes Ten" which of course is The Rudds as Cheap Trick. Rumor has it, that this is their last gig doing all Cheap Trick tunes. That may be true, or they could be just following in Beefy/DC's tradition of breaking up to increase their draw. Who knows? And of course Beefy/DC will be ending the night. As a side note, we are learning a bunch of new tunes for this gig. I'm sure a great time will be had by all. See you on New Years!!! -Beefy

October 29th 2004

Hey all,
The first time I ever went to Fenway Park was in 1975. My Dad took me to see the Red Sox play the Detroit Tigers. I will never forget walking up the ramp to the seats and seeing the field for the first time. It was possibly the most magical sight I have ever seen. The grass was so green, and the dirt of the infield was so groomed. It looked like I might imagine heaven looks like, PERFECT.
The Red Sox won that day. It was one of the best days of my life. Hanging out with my brother Jack and my Dad, eating Fenway Franks, and watching Yaz hit a home run. Fucking awesome. Since that day, I have been to Fenway many, many times, and If I don't go, I always do my damn best to watch the game on TV (ask my wife). I tell ya, baseball is the biggest and most important link to my past. Most important? Well yea, in a sense.
Over the years my Dad and I didn't always see eye to eye. He hated that I was so interested in playing rock music. He hated that my hair was long, or purple, or shaved in a Mohawk. BUT, even at our worst moments, we always had baseball and football in common. The one thing we agreed on. THE RED SOX were our team. We watched together as Bucky Dent took the ring from us. Together we saw that fucking ground ball go through Buckner's legs. However, we NEVER lost hope. Whenever possible, we watched a game together. Well, my Dad's not here now, but I tell ya what, we watched that game together.
I was sitting at TT The Bears Place in Cambridge when Boston finally took the World Series. I was at TT's to see my pal Mike Watt play. I think my Dad would appreciate Watt, because Watt has an unbelievable work ethic. Anyway, I sat glued to the TV watching the game. There we were, up 3-0 in the bottom of the 9th. Three outs away from glory. I had been in this situation before. As I sat and watched, those fucking bastards at Fox just couldn't help to re-play the Bucky Dent home run and the Buckner blown ground ball. I was so pissed. WHY would they do that????
I sat and watched. Now we were one out away, still up 3-0. Then it happened. I was stunned. My wife Sandy sat next to me and watched me do nothing but sit there with my hand over my mouth. Speechless for perhaps the first time in my life. In those endless moments I remembered going to Fenway with my Dad, I remembered my father giving me my first baseball glove. My Dad was there with me. We saw the Red Sox win together. I love the Red Sox, but more importantly, my Dad and I love the Red Sox together.

11:30 pm Headlining, The Biggest AC/DC Tribute Band in the World, BEEFY DC!!

September 14th 2004

Hi everyone, Sorry I haven't updated the news in a while. Truth be told, I wasn't really sure what to say about what happened at the TT's show. If you haven't already heard, there was some random acts of violence at our show. Two of our friends got hurt pretty bad. Some people have suggested that Beefy/DC may have encouraged this behavior. Let me say right here and now, that NONE of the members of this band would EVER encourage people to hurt each other at our shows, or anywhere for that matter. The people responsible for what happened that night know who they are, and to be honest, I don't think they had ever seen Beefy/DC before. I think they were just a couple of assholes looking to start shit, and they picked our show to do it. They are not fans of ours, and we certainly are NOT fans of their's. However, the people who got hurt are friends and fans of ours, and we, them. So this whole mess is really just that. A mess. Our thoughts are with the folks who got hurt, and wish them a speedy and painless recovery. To the jerks who hurt these people, let's just hope that justice is served.

BILLY CLOSE RETURNS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's right kids. Bill Close is on his way back to the right coast. He will be playing with the Beef at our show on Sept.3rd at TT The Bears Place in Central Square Cambridge. Also on the bill, MUNG, ANDREA GILLIS BAND and ANGRY JOHNNY AND THE KILLBILLIES!!! Gonna be awesome.

August 13th 2004

Hi, Make no mistake about it. The current leaders of The United States Of America are possibly the worst example of leadership ever in the history of this country. I swear, if W. is re-elected (as if he was elected in the first place), I will leave this country. I will never look back. He and his buddies have taken a potentially great nation to the debts of evil. That's all.

June 9th 2004

Hey everyone, It's been a while since there was any Beefy/DC gigs to report. Well, now there is a few to report. First of all, Beefy/DC will be playing this coming Friday night at our beloved Abbey Lounge. We will be playing with our pals The Dents, as well as Boston legends The Blackjacks. Apparently Johnny Angel hasn't been back in town for like 12 years. Well he's back for the week to promote the reissue of The Blackjacks LP. So c'mon out on Friday and rock with us.

On June 26th. Beefy/DC will be playing "Elevens" (formally Harry's) in Northampton Ma. Were bringing along our buddies The Collisions to open the show. They're friggin' great. So please don't miss that one.

Also, later in the summer, Beefy/DC and Lard Zeppelin will be taking over The Beachcomber in Wellfleet Ma. for a whole weekend. The weekend in question is July 30/31st. We got two great line-ups for this weekend. Check it out:

FRIDAY JULY 30th
Beefy/DC
Sugabomb
The Other Girls

SATURDAY JULY 31st
Lard Zeppelin
The Count Me Outs
The Rudds

Pretty cool huh? Well there's more to report. My fiance Sandy, and I, will be lending our talent to the band Malachite on June 19th. at The Middle East downstairs. Malachite is an amazing group of heavy metal babes, with a big ugly guy singin'. Pretty cool if you ask me. We will be sharing the stage with some other Boston legends. Malachite is first on the bill, then the amazing Sissorfight, ending with THE BAGS!!!!!! HOLY SHIT!! See you this summer!!!!!

May 11th 2004

Hello, Before you read this, I want to say that these are my opinions, and they may or may not be shared by my bandmates in Beefy/DC. I do not like to get political on this site, or in music in general. It is my belief that usually rock and roll and politcs ruin each other. Bob Dylan and Steve Earl are pretty much the only protest singers that I care about hearing from. Having said that, I would like to voice my utter disgust with the leaders of my country. I cannot, and will not pretend that what is happening in Iraq or in the USA for that matter does not bother me. At this moment I feel more disappointment and disillusionment in my country than ever before. It is my belief, that ANY form of abuse of power is the worst trespass one can commit. I believe that Goerge W. Bush and company are sucking the life, soul, and will out of this country at an alarming rate. I don't know what to do. I'm not one to wave a flag or hold a sign. I'm not one to yell and scream at those who disagree with me. I don't want to claim any sort of higher knowledge, or claim to know what is best for anyone. However, I just want to say, I'm crying as I type this, and I want out of the USA. I hate what we've turned ourselves into.

April 19th 2004

Hey all, Let's see, there is a lot to report. First, there are a couple of Beefy/DC shows coming up. June11th at The Abbey Lounge, we are playing with the legendary "Blackjacks". Old punk rock from Boston. The main guy, Johnny Angel is coming in from LA for this gig. He apparently hasn't been back in Boston in like 10 or 15 years, so I'm sure this will be a pretty packed show. Also, Beefy/DC and Lard Zeppelin are taking over The Beachcomber on Cape Cod this summer for a whole weekend. The dates for that are July30/31st. We got a bunch of our friends to come and open the shows including The Other Girls, Sugabomb, The Count Me Outs and The Rudds. Lard Zeppelin with headline the first night, and Beefy/DC will headline the second night. That's gonna be a blast. In other news, one of my all time favorite bands, NRBQ, is playing two shows in Northampton Ma. on April 30th/May 1st. The special thing about these shows is that all the members that have EVER played w ith them are going to play. That's a pretty special weekend. The same weekend on April 30th, Lard Zeppelin's drummer, J Mascis is playing a benefit at Smith College along with Sonic Youth and Sebadoh. So Northampton is the place to be that weekend. See you all soon. -Beefy

February 24th 2004

Hey everyone, First, thank you all for making the Beefy/DC this past weekend so great. It was amazing to be able to play with The Bags at a sold out show, and even more amazing was how nice everyone was to us. Friends from all over were there, Todd Spahr flew in from LA, and as always he was so much fun to hang with. The guys in The Bags were so cool, as were the guys from Black Helicopter. Thanks.

In other news, I'm playing at the Paradise nightclub this coming Sat. night as part of their "Chords And Discourse" series. This installment is Elvis Costello. So my friend Dave Lieb and I'll will be playing a set of Elvis Costello tunes. Dave is playing piano, and I'll be playing guitar and singing. Elgin James, members of Kicked The Head and others will also be playing. I believe the whole thing kicks off around 9pm. Hope to see you all there.

Until next time.

-Ray Neades

February 16th 2004

So yea, it's not too often that you get to open for one of your all time favorite bands,
but this coming Sat (2/21) that's exactly what I get to do.
Beefy/DC is on the bill for THE BAGS reunion show at The Middle East downstairs in Central Square, Cambridge Ma.
I think the first time I saw THE BAGS was back in 1988 at Sheehans Cafe in Northampton, MA. I was blown away.
The next time they came to town, I made sure to tell everyone I knew to not miss them.
When they called us to see if we were interested in playing with them, I almost shit myself with excitment.
So do yourself a favor and go to this show. Opening the night is Black Helicopter (ex- Green Magnet School), then Beefy/DC and then THE BAGS!!
I can't wait.
See you there.

-Ray

January 1st 2004

Thank you for such a memorable New Years Eve!!! Very fun. Again, it will never stop amazing me how much support our little cover band gets from the good people of Boston. Also, the whole flashing thing. GOD BLESS YOU for that. I felt like Tom Jones when that girl threw her bra to me. It made me feel all warm inside. Also, let's all show some appreciation for Craig Adams. In my life, I have never seen a man as drunk as Craig, be able to play as well as he did last night. My beautiful and talented fiance got some great photos on the old digital camera. As soon as I can, I'll get them up on the site.
Thanks again.

-Beefy

December 25th 2003

Hello all, Happy holidays!! Hope you all have a great time. In keeping with the great time theme, if I may be so bold, I would like to invite you to The Abbey Lounge in Inman Square Somerville on New Years eve to see Beefy/DC. Although it wasn't our intention, we found that since we announced two years ago (and about ten gigs ago) that we broke up, there has been a whole new wave of interest in our little cover band. So a little advice to you struggling rock 'n rollers, BREAK UP YOUR BAND!! I swear if you do, you will get to play the best clubs, get the biggest guarantees of your career, and people will get naked for you. This is not a new formula. The Who have been doing it for years. Yes, the naked thing WILL happen. Ask my friend Todd Spahr. Last year, he moved from Boston to LA. About a week before the move he played his last gig with Rockbottom at The Linwood. I said, "Todd, I swear, if you ask, people will flash naked parts of themselves..." So, after a f ew pops Todd said, and I quote, "Could you please make an old man happy, and show yourselves to me?". BINGO. It worked wonderfully. On the way home Todd said, "For Christske Ray, I had no idea. All you have to do is ask? I didn't know. All those tours with The Cavedogs. Shit! If I only knew........." The point is, if you come to the Abbey, people will be naked. Not me. But others WILL be naked. In addition to the nudity, there will be rock music. Along with Beefy/DC, The Downbeat 5, and THe Other Girls are playing. Very good then. See you there. -Beefy

December 1st 2003

Hey everyone, My friend Natalie Flanagan asked me to play bass for her band this Wed. night at Johnny D's in Davis Square Somerville. I've known Natalie for prolly 15 years, as we both used to live in western Ma. She is probably the only person in Boston who would remember that I used to be a bass player. I'm honored she asked, and have been working hard to learn all her tunes in three days. We are opening for Mighty Sam McClain (did I spell that right?). The show is a benefit for Boston area homeless shelters, so come on down and show some holiday support for the folks who aren't as lucky as those of us who have a roof over our heads. It's easy to ignore the homeless problem because sometimes it's just too sad to look at the reality in the face, but events like this one make it a little easier to help. So c'mon down.
Thanks
-Ray Neades

November 8th 2003

Yo, Beefy/DC is playing a New Years Eve show at The Abbey Lounge in Inman Square in Somerville Ma. I know the Downbeat 5 are on the bill, and I think The Other Girls may also be playing. It will be fun to play again.
Pete will be fresh off his "Full Frontal Acoustic Tour". Actually, I just made that up, I hope he likes it.
It will be good to see him again. I think Pete may crash with Sandy and I for a few weeks when he comes home.
He better not stink up the place!!!!!!!!!!!!!

October 22nd 2003

R.I.P Elliot Smith

I just found out some very sad news. One of my favorite songwriters in the world, took his own life. Elliot Smith's music has meant a great deal to me over the years. I can't believe it. If any of you don't know his music, check it out. He's kind of a mix between Nick Drake, Brian Wilson and his music especially draws on a huge Beatles influence. This is upsetting on many levels.

October 15th 2003

Hey, The Lard Zeppelin shows were lots of fun. Everyone did a great job.
I hope that one day we get to do it again. The people that showed up had a good time,
I think one day we will rock the Zep again.

In other news, Beefy/DC is going to play a new years eve gig.
We will play the Abbey Lounge in Sommerville Ma.

Also, Pete left today for his solo US tour.
Check out www.thepeasants.net for shows and venues,
and for chrissakes go support the guy.

Until new years.

-Beefy

October 7th 2003

Call club for set times.

Cool, See ya there.

(BEEFY)

September 27th 2003

Yo, Last night at Bills Bar was pretty awesome. We played two sets and it was a long one. Very big sweaty loud rock crowd. Some meatheads started a mosh pit. The was strange. I didn't know AC/DC was popular slamming music with the kids. Whatever, it was fun.
It seems like we'll be taking a pretty long break now. With Pete touring and all.
He might be back in Boston around Christmas, so maybe we'll do a Christmas show or something.
By for now.
-Beefy

PS- Dont forget to check out Lard Zeppelin at The Paradise Front Room in Boston on October 9th and at Harry's on Oct.10th

August 25th 2003

First off, I would like to say the show in Northampton this past Friday night was great fun. It's always nice to see the familiar faces of NoHo. Now for yet another last show alert. I think it actually is coming to an end this time for a while. I mean, who really knows for sure but..... Pete is going on a solo acoustic tour to promote his american release of "Welcome To My Country" by the Peasants. After that, it looks like he's setting his sights on California for a while. So it looks like Friday Sept.26th at Bill's Bar on Landsdowne St. will be the last gig for a while. Although Pete and I are going to play an acoustic show at The Kendall Cafe in Cambridge on Sept.8th. And on October 10th at Harry's in Northampton we will unlease LARD ZEPPELIN for our first and most likley last show. That's right kids, we're doing Led Zeppelin tunes. The line up is Me on vocals, Pete on guitar, Frank Padellaro (King Radio) on bass, J Mascis on drums and Tony Goddess (Papas Fritas) on keyboards.
See you then.
-Beefy

July 15th 2003

Hey everyone, Beefy/DC is playing at the Beachcomber in Wellfleet Ma. this coming Saturday night.
I love that place. Right on the beach, very beautiful. What better place to play AC/DC songs?
I can't think of any. So, as of right now, it looks like the rock band "Mellodram" from Northampton Ma.
is going to open the show. Get there early because these boys are worth it.

Also, it's worth mentioning that it was great to have Bill Close back for the Abbey Lounge gig a couple of weeks ago.
We really miss him since he's moved to LA, and it was a lot of fun to play with him again.
But, he's back in California now, so filling in for him is Craig Adams (The Dents, Bipolar Coster).
Craig is a great guy to have in the Beefy/DC camp, if for no other reason than his impressions of Hank Hill.
Pretty good guitar player too. So if you're around the Cape this weekend, stop by the Beachcomber
which is located right of rt.6 on Cahoon Hollow Beach in Wellfleet Ma. -Beefy

Beefy DC and Sylvain Sylvain (NY Dolls)

May 15th 2003

Hey everyone,
Just letting you know, Beefy/DC is playing another show.
We are going to play at The Abbey Lounge on June 14th to help
celebrate the release of Sugabomb's self titled debut CD.

I'm pretty sure BIlly Close is gonna play that one.

-Beefy

April 14th 2003

Okay, so the gig on May 29th is going to happen.
The name of the venue is The Paradise Beach Club in Weirs Beach New Hampshire.
We go on at 9pm. We are going to play two sets.
Dave Fredette from The Upper Crust and Rockbottom will be filling in for Bill Close in the Milk'um Young role.

Hope you can make it.

--Beefy

April 10th 2003

Hey, Beefy/DC will be doing a rare show on May29th in Laconia NH.

I'm not sure of the clubs name yet, but I'll keep you posted.
It looks like either Dave Fredette(The Upper Crust, Rockbottom) or Mike Gent (The Figgs, The Gentlemen)
will be taking the Milk'um role for the evening.

I'll keep you posted.

NEW PICS FINAL SHOW (PART 6) NOW AVAILABLE

Well, okay. It has now come to an end. But Holy Fuckin' Shit!! What an end it was.
Man, I always wanted to play the Paradise. I have to admit, I was a bit nervous for this one.
I was a bit scared nobody would come. Let's just say, The BEEFY ARMY was in full force.
More meatheads than ever. Highlights?? Well, there were many.

Let's see, well 100% played half the show in his underware.
Our roadie for the night wiped the stage free of water, I mooned the crowd.

It was just good old fun. The whole night.

That was the last one. If you missed it,
YOU LOSE!!!!

We're out.

--Beefy

October 16th 2002

You can all dry your eyes.

Beefy/DC will play ONE more show.

Three days before Milk'um leaves for LA. On Nov.23rd
Beefy/DC will be playing the big room at The Paradise Rock Club in Boston with our pals The Gentlemen.

A bunch of people have expressed regret for having missed our "last show"
at O'Briens a couple of weeks ago, so here's your chance.
Also, please come because we have to fly 100% Angus in from California.

Okay, there you have it.

The band that won't die.

-Beefy Scott

October 6th 2002

Hey Everyone,

So I guess this is it. The morning after the last Beefy gig.

Let me say this, last night was a blast. Sugabomb and The Kenmores were both incredible.
They got the crowd all worked up for us and then it was time.

The rock was happenin'. Guitars were loud, bass was low, drums were smashed,
vocal chords were ruined, titties were flashed, beer was flowing, fists were flying.

Let me just say, love was all around.

Thank you all for making our last show so fun.

So it is........Beefy has left the building

September 27th 2002

As you all know, Sat. October 5th is our last show.

It is at O'Briens in Allston Ma.

A bunch of people have emailed me about advance tickets.
Sorry guys, but you are just gonna have to get there early to get in.
I'm sure it will sell out. So just do your best.

Plus, the opening bands are The Kenmores and Sugabomb.
How ya gonna get hurt?

See you all there.

-Beefy

September 3rd 2002

Hey Meatheads,
What a great show this past Saturday.
We had so much friggin' fun. Deek from WBCN is to thank for that one.
He pushed the shit out of the show on the air, and the masses of asses came out to rock.
The set seemed a bit short to me, but everyone there said it was one of the
best Beefy shows yet. It makes me a bit sad to think we only have one more gig left until we say goodbye to the Beef.

So I guess it's time to address the issue of the Beef calling it quits.

You see we all hate each other. Just kidding, nothing could be further from the truth.
We are all very good friends and we love to play music together.
In fact I'll just come out and say it, I love those guys period. I lust after them.
I like to sniff their sweaty tee shirts after the gigs. For CHRISTSAKES, can I be serious for even a second?

Yes....I think I can. Actually, the biggest reason for the split is simple, Billy
(Milk'em Young) is moving to LA soon. Many very qualified guitarists have offered to take his place,
but there is only one Milk'em for this band, and his name is Billy Close.

Now of course nothing is written in stone. And if some great offer comes up we may decide to rock again.
If Billy cant make it, we could perhaps let one of our friends fill in.
But for now, let's just say Beefy/DC has one more gig before an indefinite hiatus.

The last gig will be October 5th at O'Briens in Allston.

Our good buddy's Sugabomb and the debut of The Kenmores are gonna open the show.

In other news, I have a new band called "The Prettiest Gurls" which will be having it's debut on September 14th at the Middle East nightclub in Cambridge Ma. It's a good band. Not quite as heavy as the Beef. Kind of more on the Replacements/NRBQ tip.
But it does rock. And of course The Peasants are gonna rock europe again in October and are playing the Linwood in Boston on Sept.7th.

So I think that brings all up to date.

See you all October 5th.

-Beefy Scott

August 12th 2002

Hey Kids, Sorry it has taken so friggin' long to post some news.

HEY!! I've been BUSY!!!! I work you know. I have responsibilities. I don't just
scream for a living, although I do scream alot.

Anyway we played the Beachcomber on Cape Cod this past weekend.
More fun than I know how to relate in print. We had a blast. We ate from the raw bar,
swam in the ocean, fell asleep on the beach. Perfect weekend for Beefy/DC.

In other news, your's truly is in the new video for J Mascis And The Fog
(Ex-Dinosaur Jr.). Playing drums no less!!! It was really fun to ham it up
for the camara. I think the video will be out some time in the next month
or so. The director told me it would be on MTV2 and perhaps MTV proper.
We'll see. At the very least, they are gonna mail me a copy of it. So you
can come over and watch it at my place I guess.

Lastly, we only have a couple more shows
before we take a break from all this nonsense.

We are playing Aug.23rd at Harry's in Northampton and
Aug.31st at O'Briens in Allston Ma. We may be doing a Sept. show. I'll
keep you posted. But after that, it will be a while.

So get your beef while it lasts!!!!

See ya....

August 6th 2002

This coming Saturday night at The Beachcomber in Wellfleet Ma. the
brightest stars of the boston covercore movement will converge.

First on the bill is Gout 32 playing all your punk rock faves. I think they call
themselves Gout 32 because there are at least thirty two members of the
O'Halloran family in the band. Second up is yours truly,
Beefy/DC playing all the classic AC/DC tunes you could
ever hope to handle. Of course, up last is the incredible
ROCKBOTTOM!!! I love those guys. When Dave Fredette
isn't wearing his wig I like to call him "Mini-Me".
At any rate,

I hope to see you all there.

-Beefy

July 26th 2002

Yo Meatheads,

I was at my favorite restauraunt last weekend, "The Hilltop
Steakhouse" in Saugus Ma. My girlfriend Sandy(bassist for Sugabomb) took
me there to celebrate her return from Los Angeles and Vegas, where she
took holiday this year, and to spend some of her winnings from Sin City.

After a great big steak, we were leaving the building
when...BAM!!!..right in front of our eyes, we saw some really cute drunk
college girls posing with their pants down for photos on the fake plastic
cows in front of the Hilltop!!! At one point, one girl was licking anothers ass.

I wish you all could have been there.

Beef for dinner, and cheesecake for dessert!!!!!!!!

Hey there all you middle men,

So the gig last weekend was a great one.
The Linwood was uncharacteristically
packed for a summertime show.
We had a couple o' brain farts.
100% forgot how to start "Jailbreak" and I sang
the verses in the wrong order on "Problem Child".
We soldiered on however and delivered the goods.

Rockbottom were amazing as always. Their cover
of "Hocus Pocus" by "Focus" was the stuff of legend.

We look foward to a great summer.

See you around.

Hey Meatheads, I just got home from the Abbey Lounge gig.
What a fucking blast. Just what the doctor ordered.
I'm so grateful that so many friends
and fans showed up.

I dedicated the set to Mom and Dad. I bet my pop is looking down saying,
"For Christsakes, when is that kid going to go back to college and get a real job!?".
Of course I know he would have loved it though. My mom is probably telling him,
"Lighten up Jack, he sounds good, but I just wish it wasn't so loud."
Anyway, it was a great time. We had our buddy Chris fill in for Phil on drums.
He did an outstanding job considering we only gave him a couple o' days to learn the set.
Just a quick posting.

Bye for now.

Hi everyone, It's been a very strange couple of weeks for yours truly.
First I would like to thank everyone for their kind words and support upon
finding out about my mother's death. It really helped quite a bit.

Having said that, I have some more difficult news to share with you all.
Bob Dylan wrote a song called "Simple Twist Of Fate". I guess that would be an
appropriate way to discribe the news I recieved from my brother Jack today.
The news I speak of, is the passing of my father, which happened
this afternoon. I'm a bit numb right now. I was just starting to feel a
sense of normality when this simple twist of fate ripped the scab off of a
healing wound. I'm feeling all sorts of things right now, including, but
not limited to, overwhelming sadness, anger, guilt and gratitude.

Anyway, I'm starting to ramble now, so I'll sign off. As far as the gig this
weekend at the abbey goes, we're gonna play that one by ear. My guess is
we'll prolly do it, so long as I'm in this part of the state on Saturday.
It might be good to scream like a fucking lunatic for an hour or two.

Hello Meatheads, Beefy Scott here with another...LOOK AT THE BEEF!!!

We played down in Newport, Rhode Island this past Friday at Area 22. Fun
place. My old pals from Northampton, Ma., "King Radio" opened the show.

Great guys, great band. However, the big news from the weekend has got to
be my first outing at the Hilltop Steakhouse on Rt.1 in Saugus Ma. Holy
friggin, shit!! More BEEF than you can imagine...all under one beautiful,
rustic roof. They got big fake cows , pictures of cowboys everywhere and a
fuckin' huge neon cactus out front. A BEEF lovers dream cometh true.

Hey Meatheads, Welcome to our new website. Hope you like. So, I guess
the big news of late is the marriage of our friend and bandmate Billy
"Milk'um" Close. Actually, he's been married for a little while, but we
finally had a reception for him last weekend. It was a blast, we rented a
big system with all these lights and shit. We even had a smoke machine.
The Beef played and so did some other buddies including Steve "Harbo" Hart
of "The Peasants" and "Give". It was a great night of family, friends, food,
drink and rock. I feel very honored to be a part of it. I wish all the
happiness, love, friendship and peace to Billy and his beautiful wife Donna.

Cheers. Until the next posting

PS- I love you Sandy.
